In spring, 2005 gtp2 won a pitch for a showroom for GROHE at Milan’s famous „Salone del Mobile“. Here we show what our design looked like, which was supposed to highlight archaic values of a new production series by Porsche Design. Rock and lava landscapes provided the background for the new product fittings.
There were no text panels or other conventional information carriers. Instead visitors had to discover and extract information by gesture actions, by touching rocks to activate a projection or a fog or rain curtain and thereby unlocking product details, etc. A film presentation was hidden inside a walk-in metal cocoon.
At the same as we were working on the design, GROHE was taken over by a UK consortium, which put all marketing activities on hold, including our exciting project, a great disappointment for gtp2.
